Cities Compete for a Sustainable Future

2021 International One World Cities Competition Turkey part is starting. Cities are called upon to put forward their goals and actions for climate and sustainability.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF-Turkey) is launching the Turkey part of the International Single World Cities Competition (TDKY) for the 2021-2022 period. The primary goal of the One World Cities Competition, which is held every two years, is to encourage climate-friendly transformation in cities and to create social awareness by highlighting cities that move in line with environmental sustainability goals. The data publicly reported by the cities participating in the competition will be reviewed by an international jury and it will be evaluated whether the Paris Agreement is in line with the goal of not exceeding 1.5 degrees of heat increase in the atmosphere of our planet after industrialization. National and global prominent cities will be announced as the winners of the competition.
